“Jackie” has over 30 years of experience working in the fields of Social Services and Education in both the Public and Private Sectors. She has worked with people of ages ranging from 15-105.
The work that she has done has predominantly been with individuals experiencing challenges and difficulties in their lives, in the following areas:
Jackie has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. As her children were growing up she wanted to be available for them and managing a regular job was demanding enough. As her 2 children grew into young adults, Jackie felt it was time to follow her dream to open her own company, Golden Home Care was then incorporated in 2012.
Having always lived her life with a “positive perspective”, she has combined this with her passion for helping people. Her company’s name is true to its word and her many clients can attest to the great quality of care and service it provides. Golden Home Care has become a successful, respected Home Care Provider, and Jackie’s reputation has been established as a leader in this field.
Where do I begin to thank you for all your support and love you have shown to my dad and our family over these years? Just as Abigail was my Dad’s “WINGMAN”, you have been my “RIGHT HAND” for every transition, crisis or celebration and handled it all with such grace and compassion and always respecting my Dad’s dignity.
Thank you, I consider you to be a very special person and friend.
I want to inform you all that myself and family are relocating to Edmonton, Alberta by the end of May. That said, I want to thank each of everyone in this great establishment for your care, support and understanding over the years.
I totally enjoyed my time with you guys, and I want to say thanks for the opportunity. If some day you have a branch in Edmonton, Alberta, I will be more than happy to reunite with this great company.
As you and your caregivers cared for my mother,
“you made me feel like I was your only client”.
Thank you so much for doing what you do. I will never be able to thank you enough for the care you provided for my mom. Angels; every one of you and your staff. My mom received the best care on the planet, and I will be eternally grateful that she had peaceful pleasant days and that she had such a graceful exit from this world. I re-read the logbook recently and loving care is there, on every single page.
Thank you again so much!
“A huge thank you!!”
Our consultation went so much better than I could have ever expected due to my mother’s resistance. Your level of professionalism and patience obviously makes it clear why your homecare services and company are a success.
Congratulations & Thank you!!
Dear Jackie & Caregivers,
The care & love you provided to Mum was a true gift to our family. We never dreamed we would be in this situation and have the privilege of caring for her at home until her last breath. It takes a special kind of person to be a caregiver. We will forever be grateful to all of you who took care of our Mum and allowed us to give her the only thing she wanted, to be at home and with the family the last few weeks. Thank you for helping us keep that last promise to her. You all gave care & compassion when our family needed it most.
Trudy & Fay Linton
Dad could be very stubborn and was used to getting his own way, but your caregivers seemed to negotiate the mine fields and get to know his better half. We could see that he certainly grew not just to appreciate them but also to love them. If you ever want anyone to chat with prospective clients have them call me. From my experience, I can certainly give them a positive perspective.
With hugs thanks to your company’s caregivers for their immense professionalism and kindness.
When my grandfather had his stroke, suddenly the man I always saw as independent was very weak and needed a lot of care. I do as much as I can to be present as well as help him with medical appointments. However, working, going to school, and raising two children leaves me with limited time. Finding Golden Home Care really helped us to find care for him that was reliable, honest, and efficient. I felt safe knowing my grandad was in good hands. Jackie you have been so accommodating and helpful, even with short notice you always worked with us to come up with a solution.
Thanks so much to you and your excellent team for helping us deal with Alzheimer’s and for keeping my husband comfortable and content.
All our family appreciates your efforts.
Thank you for listening, for guidance, for inspiration, for encouragement and also thanks to the Golden Home Care Team!
My father did not trust having people in his home. In October 2012, Jackie Percs, the owner of Golden Home Care, came to meet him and he felt confident enough to try the services. The team of care workers were incredible. They cleaned up the house and assisted him with his personal care needs.
His loss of autonomy was very upsetting for him and they made him feel more in control of his life. The quality of his life improved so much that his Dr even noticed a big improvement. My father was happier than he had been in awhile.
He passed away in July 2013. They would continue to call to see how I was and if I needed any support. They are a very trustworthy and caring team. You could not find a better service than "Golden Home Care".
I wanted to send you a note telling you how much I appreciate you and your organization. My elderly mother was hospitalized for a couple of weeks and needed care to help her recover both physically and mentally – and living out-of-town made logistics and support very difficult, adding to my concern for her. I was so fortunate to be introduced to you and your company. Golden Home Care gave us a consistent caring attitude and very professional yet personal approach that was second to none. Your wide range of services were also greatly appreciated – it’s comforting to be able to cover all of my Mother’s needs from one coordinated place. You gave me and my family peace-of-mind, and because of your efforts I’m happy to see how well she is doing – she is well on the road to recovery. I give Golden Home Care my highest recommendation for elder care and recovery services. Thank you for starting such a wonderful company.
Wishing you the very best always, I remain,
Yours truly, Eric Miller
"It was very kind of you and your employees to have visited my dad in the hospital. I now realize that it is the culture that you have created in your entire organization. You personally are an exceptional communicator."

Dawn has been with Golden Home Care since January 2019. She has a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Accounting, as well as a certification in Human Resources Management. After 20+ years in the corporate world, Dawn decided that she wanted to continue her career working with a locally based company where her skills could be used to help people in a meaningful way.
Dawn has a special place in her heart for seniors. She was the primary caregiver for both her mom and her aunt and is grateful that she was able to be there for them. When her mother was diagnosed with vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s, Dawn and her husband welcomed her into their home, where they cared for her for several years. This experience heightened her compassion for family caregivers and understands the importance of support and self-care for those facing such challenges.
During Dawn’s time at Golden Home Care, her dedication, attention to detail and commitment to customer service has been exceptional. These skills in addition to her belief and embracement of our Mission, Vision & Values make her an excellent and compatible part of our team.
Tara joined Golden Home Care in the spring of 2021. After graduating with a bachelor’s in accounting from Bishop’s University in 2015, she proceeded to get her designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) at McGill University in 2016.
After working in the corporate world for 5 years, Tara decided it was time to explore her entrepreneurial passion and combine her business experience with her desire to work with and help people.
As a student, Tara toyed with a few small business initiatives, as well as coached and tutored many adolescents, encouraging them to have confidence in themselves and achieve their full potential, thus discovering her interest in helping others. Tara’s corporate experience, as well as her commitment and interest in providing quality care, are an asset in her role as an active member of the Client Care Coordination Team and in the daily operations and development of the company.
Tara’s kind and gentle manner, combined with her strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, drive her to continuously support and care for our clients while finding the best way to develop strategic planning.
Serena is the newest member of our Golden Home Care team, joining in the Spring of 2022. She has always been involved in her community, which led her to study in the department of Applied Human Sciences at Concordia University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
Serena’s passion for helping others guided her through various professional ventures. She has worked as a Daycare Educator and as a Youth Services Coordinator with “at risk” youth. Most recently, Serena was employed as a Recreation Therapist, developing and implementing recreational programs for seniors and adults and then as a Coordinator for individuals living in a long-term care residence.
Serena particularly enjoyed working with seniors and appreciates learning about their life experiences through the wonderful stories they shared. She was responsible for planning and adapting meaningful activities for individuals with varying physical and cognitive abilities, that provided purpose and enhanced their quality of life. Serena has excellent interpersonal skills which were instrumental in leading and managing a team of staff and volunteers in workshops.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, she had to readjust very quickly. Her main goal was to put a smile on her residents’ faces while they were confined to their rooms and trying to navigate through the restrictions.
Serena’s background in leisure and recreation will complement our services and help us all learn how to elevate the quality of interaction and support that we can provide to our clients.
Serena has an optimistic attitude and kind heart. She is a firm believer that “the client comes first”, and she will treat them as one of her own family members to ensure they are receiving Golden Home Care.
On November 1, 2022, Marcie Klinger joined our Golden Home Care team.
Marcie has worked with the senior population for 23 years. She enjoyed working for 18 years at the Cummings Centre as an Administrative Assistant primarily in the Volunteer Department.
After dedicating her time with seniors, she realized that her passion was to work with the aging population in homecare.
In 2017, Marcie transitioned and since has been working in the Home Care Industry as a Care Manager. During this time, Marcie evaluated the needs of her clients and coordinated appropriate care for them while developing wonderful relationships. She goes above and beyond to ensure quality of life for those needing support in home care, hospital, post-operative, or palliative care.
Marcie’s experience advocating for her father, in his later years, gave her the experience and knowledge required to navigate the healthcare system in Montreal. Marcie now applies those skills while assisting and guiding others. She displays extraordinary empathy, kindness, and professionalism. These traits are a huge asset while supporting families, relatives and friends who may be struggling to determine what is best for their loved ones.
Audrey joined Golden Home Care in the summer of 2023.
Her path to us has been rich, and unconventional. She has spent most of the last 20 years working within the Arts and Entertainment sector as an artist, educator, administrator, and event coordinator. She has also honed her skills in human resources and customer service through her experiences managing elections, and as an administrator in a dental clinic. Central to all her endeavors has been her passion for building relationships. Throughout her journey, she has enjoyed the privilege of connecting and collaborating with countless members of Montreal’s senior population, learning from their experiences, and sharing their stories.
Audrey attributes her affinity for seniors and her decision to join our team to the special relationship she had with her grandparents. It was incredibly important to her that her grandparents received the services and stimulation they deserved.
Audrey is kind, compassionate, and hard-working. She is guided by her desire to make a difference in people’s lives and is committed to creating an environment where clients and their families feel comforted and cared for.
